I Know Whom I Have Believed

An encouragement to declare God’s Word over difficult circumstances and worship in faith.

Eu Sei em Quem Tenho Crido

We go through all kinds of seasons. There are times in our lives when we see many negative situations around us. We are discouraged by reports that things are impossible, or by circumstances that neither improve nor worsen: they remain stagnant, and there seems to be no change at all. We literally feel under pressure. Depending on the pressure of the situation, whatever it may be – material, emotional, spiritual, financial, marital, family-related or connected to ministry – our bodies are also affected by what is happening in our minds and emotions.

At such times, the person who worships the Father needs to activate their spirit and ask the Holy Spirit to lead them into faith and trust in God. How does this activation happen? By declaring God’s own Word in faith. It means looking to God’s Word as a compass for life and truly believing that what it says will be fulfilled in your life.

The passage we are declaring today is Ephesians 3:20–21. You are being called to worship in faith: to worship God for who he is, trusting his power and his action. Today I have a suggestion for you. List the impossibilities, difficulties, fears and anything else that has stood before you as a negative or troubling picture. When you have finished this list, pray exactly as the passage in God’s Word says:

“To the one who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations, for ever and ever! Amen!”

Declare this over every adverse circumstance and situation in your life. Rise above the opposing situations through faith and worship. In this way, you experience God’s supernatural work and draw an atmosphere of the Father’s miracles, because this kind of worship is faith in action. And we know that those who have faith please God. When you say aloud, “I know whom I have believed,” you are using your body, speaking to your soul and filling your spirit with what is truly the truth. Circumstances are temporary, but God’s Word is eternal.

When you say, “I know whom I have believed, and he is powerful enough to do infinitely more than all I ask or imagine, according to his power at work within me,” you show the spiritual realm whom you believe in and whom you give the authority to govern your mind and emotions and write your story.
